Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mailaholic ("the Service"), operated by Workaholic Developers ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information when you use our website, the web app, and the Mailaholic apps for iOS and Android.

1. Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus the domains and mailboxes you set up.
• Email content — the messages, attachments, contacts, folders and settings in your mailboxes. We store these so we can deliver, send and show your mail.
• Billing details — your plan and payment history. Card and bank details are entered with our payment partner, Cashfree Payments, and are never stored by us.
• Device information (mobile apps) — a push-notification token from Apple or Google so we can alert you to new mail, and the device name you sign in from.
• Technical logs — IP addresses, timestamps and mail-server logs, kept for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

We use your information only to run the Service: to deliver and send your mail, keep your account secure, send you notifications you have turned on, process payments, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or read your mail for advertising or to train AI models.

3. Mobile app permissions

• Notifications — to alert you to new mail. You can turn these off at any time.
• Camera — only to scan a sign-in QR code when you choose to. Images are not saved or uploaded.
• Face ID / fingerprint — to unlock the app if you enable app lock. Biometric data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

The apps contain no advertising or third-party analytics and do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Mailaholic, and only as needed:

• Hosting and storage providers that run our servers and store large attachments;
• Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, to deliver notifications;
• Cashfree Payments, to process payments.

Mail you send is, by its nature, delivered to its recipients and their mail providers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users from abuse.

5. Security

Connections to Mailaholic are encrypted with TLS, passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is restricted. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password and enable app lock on your phone.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your mail and account data while your account is active. You can delete individual messages at any time, and you can delete your whole account from Settings in the app or on the web. You can also ask us to delete it without signing in, on our Delete account page. When an account is deleted, its mailboxes and mail are removed from our live systems; limited records may be kept where the law requires it (for example, invoices).

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent for optional features such as notifications. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

8. Children

Mailaholic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app.
